How the skyline works
1,000,000 pixels at €1, built into a city of 100 plots. One tower per site. Pixels set the height and the rank; the plot is your address. Rank #1 costs €30 today.
Four rules
- 1 pixel = €1, minimum 3. The stock is fixed at 1,000,000 and never grows.
- Most pixels stands tallest. At equal pixels, whoever paid first stays ahead.
- The centre is earned. Each district has a floor in pixels; everything else is first come, first served.
- Nothing decays. Pixels and plots are kept for good. No melt, no expiry, no resale.

Pay once, or put it on Autopilot
Most towers are paid once: from €3, kept forever, nothing to cancel. Autopilot is the option for towers that want to keep climbing — the same number of pixels every month, stopped in one click from the owner’s control page. Pixels already added stay either way.
What a tower includes
- A 3D tower on your plot with your logo, colour and name on its sign, clickable from the whole city.
- Your page at
/p/your-namewith rank, pixels, amount paid, clicks, real cost per click and a share card. - A private control link to change the logo and one-liner whenever you like.
- An entry in the public JSON that answer engines read.
What €3 actually buys — the honest version
The original worked because it was a news story. In August 2005 a 21-year-old student, Alex Tew, sold pixels at $1 each and auctioned the last 1,000 on eBay — $1,037,100 in total. The full story is in our Million Dollar Homepage explainer.
That story has been told once. This city will not be on the BBC, so do not buy a tower expecting a flood of clicks. So far the city has taken €29 and sent 219 clicks — €0.13 a click, published on every tower page. What you get is smaller and more fun: a tower that stays put, in a city you can share. FAQ
What exactly am I buying?
Pixels out of a fixed stock of 1,000,000 at €1 each — the whole city is worth exactly €1,000,000, like the 2005 original. Pixels set your tower's height and your rank on the board. With them come a permanent plot in the 3D city, a sign with your logo and link, your own page with a share card, and every click the city sends you, counted.
Why a 3D city and not a wall of images?
Because the wall was tried here and did not sell. On a 1000×1000 wall a logo shows at 30×20 pixels, nobody zooms in, and everyone can tell. A tower on a plot is readable, clickable from anywhere in the city, and yours to show off — and a rank on the board is something people actually want.
Can I lose my plot or my pixels?
No. Plots and pixels are never resold, never expire and are never taken back — the admin screen refuses to delete a tower that has paid. What moves is the rank: whoever owns more pixels passes you. You climb back by adding pixels, which stack on what you own.
What happens at equal pixels?
Whoever paid first stays in front. Matching the tower above you does not overtake it — you need one pixel more.
What is Autopilot?
An optional monthly payment that adds the same number of pixels to your tower every month (up to 1,000). Your tower keeps growing while others stand still. Stop it from your control page in one click: no further payment, and every pixel already added stays yours.
Can anyone push my tower up?
Yes. Every tower page has an 'add pixels' link, and pixels bought there are added to that tower whoever pays. Only the owner, through the private control link, can change the logo, the one-liner or the Autopilot.
Is the link a backlink?
No. Every outbound link carries rel="sponsored", because it is paid for and Google's link spam policy requires paid links to be marked. You buy a public place and the clicks it sends — not SEO.
How do I pay, and can I get a refund?
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, inside the page, through Stripe. No account. Your tower goes up the moment the payment is confirmed and you ask for that immediate delivery at checkout — which is why a delivered tower is not refundable. If something is wrong with a delivery, write to us and it gets fixed.
